Excellent B&B, would recommend and will be visiting again. Very comfortable rooms and tasty breakfast. Off-road parking. Great hospitality and friendly ambience. What a find!
Colette was a lovely and welcoming host, who made us feel at home. The rooms were comfortable and warm & the house was clean and inviting. We stayed for one night on Christmas day. The location is perfect and quiet. Thanks Colette - I'm sure we will see you again soon!
We booked into Old Joes as it was the only B&B/Hotel available in the area within 20 miles. Now i can see why! On first arrivals we was greeted by the Host Colette, She first set down ground rules about we must be in by 7pm as the front door is locked and is not re-opened until 7am. She then showed us to our room with was extremely basic. nothing like it looked in the pictures. I had to share with a work colleague as she informed us her other rooms were filled with clutter and was only offering a one room service. we found the room very cold with the radiators not working, we wanted to make a cup of coffee/tea with the facilities in the room however found their was no milk. we had breakfast on the morning the next day which was a basic continental breakfast which looked rather nice until we saw the cat rolling round the kitchen table where all the breakfast supplies were open to the element, the cat was drinking out of the milk jug on the table. On that note we packed our stuff and went to a different hotel. I wouldn't recommend it as it definitely not a b&b or hotel! their was no locks on the bedroom door or bathroom door. Its a shame as the host seemed a lovely lady on the telephone.
Stayed one night Mid January 2015 and we found it a pleasant experience with nice helpful host Colette who made sure we were comfortable. The room was cosy and we slept very well in a very comfortable bed.Breakfast good too. Parking off road. Altogether a good experience and a veritable home-from-home. Would highly recommend it.
